Dear Family,
This week was good; we kinda got a lot done like we hoped, but it seemed like a lot of people were sick and such so we had a lot of cancelled apointments. Which is always a bummer. We tracted for about 9 hours and 45 mins this week, so we had a lot of door knocking! Oh, and a funny story is that we were walking down this street and this lady was walking with her dog and we went up and asked her if we could give her a card for our website and she said sure so we went up and she had this little tiny dog and it was barking at us and she was like oh don't worry lady is friendly she won't bite so I reached down to pet her and she bit me! Haha, it was super funny and the lady was like oh I'm so sorry she doesn't do that! So then we gave her a card, talked with her and then left. But I had these little dog marks on my hand! It was almost the exact same kinda dog that Brittany has so it made me laugh even more! Also another story for you is that we were tracting this street where there was a lot of black people and this one house we went up to this guy who was on his phone(he was talking really loud) and we knocked and he answered and said he wasn't interested and as we were walking away we heard him say oh it was some religious white guys on my porch! The way he said it was really funny! So Victor is doing good I would say, but it is really hard to teach him because he has a thick accent and he also is really set in his ways. But he is reading the Romanian Book of Mormon that we gave him! Lori got sick so we haven't been able to meet with her but I think she really wants to learn about the church! Chatona is also learning really well we have been teaching her a lot and have almost finished the lessons. We are just working with commitments right now and getting to church and things like that! We also have another family that we are going to start working with called the VanVleets who just moved in and we are going to be teaching them. The dad is a member but the rest of the family isn't and they want to learn more but they got sick so we couldn't meet with them this week. Also, the other day we were tracting and we found a less active member that no one knew were he has living at and we found him and he told us he wants to come back to church so we were able to get his address and have that all updated! We also had some guy stop us the other day and told us he used to go to church along time ago and gave us his number and address and he was also someone who the ward was trying to find so it was cool to see how the Lord uses us to help find people! I did learn that the same road our church is on is the same road that the missionaries from Kirtland walked on when they left Kirtland. The road goes all the way from Kirtland to somewhere more east and they walked on it and so now our church is on the road the first missionaries walked on! :) Well this week we had one of the bishopric members come out teaching with us and all our appointments fell through but then we had someone call us and want us to come over and meet with them so we really saw the Lord helping us out there. we did have a really cool lesson with a less active member and we read 2 Nephi 33 with her and she really liked it and got a lot out of it! It's a really good scriputre that talks about the importance and truthfulness of the Book of Mormon. I really like that one! That's about all that happened this week. Miss you guys and love you! Have a wonderful week! :)
