Dear Family,
Congrats to Melissa! And also a congrats to Josie for her baptism! So this week was good. Tuesday we had a really good district meeting, just had a normal day as well as Wednesday. But then we had leadership training meeting on Thursday and Friday. On Thursday night we stayed the night up in Cleveland! It was a really good meeting and it lasted for about 7 hours and we learned about prayer! Then we went to different missionary apartments and stayed with them and went to their appointments with them and things. Then Friday morning we woke up and went back to the mission office and had another 7 hour meeting about the Book of Mormon! It was also a really good lesson and we were able to learn lots of things and just had a really spiritual meeting! Then afterwards I came back to Warren and was able to be with my companion again! What happened was Elder Decker and Elder Ricci left their companions in my area with my companion and then we all rode up together to Cleveland for the meetings, so it was a really fun time! On Saturday it was pretty funny because in the morming we practiced what we would do if anyone were to say they don't believe in religion or God and so we practiced and then when we went out to work. We met two people that we were able to use what we practiced! It was neat to see how the Lord helps you in just those small little simple ways! Also the first guy, Dave, that we were talking to at the beginning didn't want anything to do with us but after lots of testimonies of the Book of Mormon and the love that God has for him, we were able to leave him a Book of Mormon and he said he would read it! The Spirit really does soften people's hearts! And then the other lady believed that God was an alien and that we are from another planet sent here to earth as an experiment to see how well we could handle all the sicknesses and things. (ya, it was a pretty interesting conversation and she really believed that) But the spirit also worked on her and we gave her a pamphlet on the plan of salvation and she said she wants to watch conference so we were really excited there! It was a really fun morming! On Sunday Lori came to church for the first time and seemed to really enjoy it. The members really just fellowshipped her good! Also, Chatona came to church as well and she told us that after the sacrament that she just felt like chills all over her body and just is feeling so good and inspired that she wants to move her baptism date sooner! We were really excited as well! She has been doing really good on the word of wisdom and you can just see how her countenance is changing and the spirit is working on her. It's really amazing to see! She tells us how she has a ton of problems but they don't seem to bother her that much anymore! Like, she had her friend die, her brother try to commit suicide and then her parents got in an accident and she can't find a job but she tells us she is happy! What a great way the spirit can work in our lives! :) The VanVleets, Dana the husband, is in the hospital so they weren't able to come to church. But I called Sis Welch this morning and she is their fellowshipper and a great friend to them. I found out that for our dinner with her tonight the VanVleets are coming over and and they are really interested in the church. She wants a Book of Mormon and wants us to teach her kids and we will be at the Welch's while we do it. I was so excited this morning. I was putting together a great lesson plan so when we teach them we can teach the kids and keep them interested too. I was just super excited about it because it's a family and that's what we do is unite families forever. So I was pretty excited! :) Missionary work is just awesome! :) Speaking of summer...everyone says the humidity is bad and that it's so hot here. But I think that Arizona is so much hotter and worse than it was here. My guess for G&G is Europe or something like that, or to an institute teaching mission. My favorite scripture for the week is still 2 Nephi 33. It has a lot of good words from Nephi in it. Also the introduction page to the Book of Mormon. If you break it down and really read it it is a really great thing to read and learn from! Another funny story is that when I was first new on my mission I got lots of letters and packages all the time in Fremont but as time goes on you realize that you're lucky to get something. Now Elder Hollingsworth gets a letter everyday and a package every other and it makes me laugh and think boy this must be what my trainer felt like! It's funny to see the drop off of letters, but I hear when you get closer to the end people write you again so it's just a matter of time! I hope everyone has a great week! I miss you and love you! And you better watch conference!! And do it with a prayer in your heart and a list of questions that you want answered! Well good luck and have fun!
Love, Elder Price
