Dear family,
Well this week was crazy!! We were only in our area for like 3 days! On Monday, we had our Pday and then we did some stuff in the evening. On Tuesday was mission council and my companion was the District Leader and had to go to Cleveland for the day and didn't get back until 8 pm so we just stayed the night in Youngstown. On Wednesday, we drove back and got a little bit done and then had our scripture study class which went pretty good. We are doing them on the Christlike attributes in Preach my Gospel. Thursday we got a lot of planning done for the week and didn't get a lot of teaching done. Friday morning we had our interviews with the President and we were going down I-80 and there was about a 6 in deep pot-hole that went all the way across the road and we blew our tire on it and totally destroyed the rim. Luckily, we werent hurt; we just pulled over to the side of the road to change the tire. We were both dressed up in suits and it was 14 degrees and we had to get the shovels out of the back and shovel a path to the tire so we could change it. About 15 min. later we were back on the way to the church in Youngstown. After our interviews, we went to Firestone to get our tire fixed and went and walked around the mall while we were there. When we came back they told us they couldn't get what they needed and so basically we sat there waiting for hours and by 5 pm they told us they needed to order the rim because the car is so new. Then we got our car and went to the Dinsio-Millers and then spent the night with the zone leaders again! (they can't get rid of us!) Then we took their truck with us back home and we are going to drive it back up and switch cars with them tomorrow for our Zone Development meeting! Phew what a week! But despite all that, we had some really good lessons this week and things have been going pretty good! Elder Foster's mom sent you a note, huh? That's pretty cool. He is a great missionary. I'm lucky to be able to serve with him! I'll be his second longest companion and he will be my longest because we normally don't keep companions longer than a little over a transfer! I'm his 15th companion! The weather is pretty interesting...it's snowing all day today and I would say there is about maybe 6 inches piled up on the ground. In New Castle we found Warner Brothers' first studio. (isn't that cool?) Tuesday night we got the cops called on us when me and Elder Foltz, the Zone Leader, were out tracting. It was funny...they thought we were mercenaries! There were 2 cop cars and they ran a background check and all sorts of fun things. It was really funny! We had Delaney, Joy, and Nick at church and next week Kathy said she would come! We also had our Branch Conference which was a really good spiritual time and a fun yummy pot luck after wards! Miss you and love you! I know the Lord is watching over and protecting us!
