April 18, 2011

Dear Family,
This week was kinda the same as the last week, but we also had some good things happen too. One of our investigators is Rick Boley, who is a referral from the bishop, and he is 63, divorced. We were going to be meeting with him this week and stuff but he found out he had cateracts so we weren't able to meet with him. We are going to move his date to May 7th. There is another Rick, Rick Burgess, who is about 40 something and his date is June 4th. He is married and his wife is less active. Rick Boley is the one at the funeral home. Another investigator is Bethany Cass, who is about 10 years old. Her date is now on May 14th and her brother, John Cass is about 12 or 13, doesn't really want to be baptised right now but we think after he sees his sister he probably will. Also Brother Mulholland is still smoking so we are moving him to the 28th of May. His family is going to be doing baptisms, I think, at the end of the month. Also Carlynn, the 16 year old daughter, is kinda just going through the motions right now and doesn't want to give up smoking or get baptised. She went to a modest prom out in Youngstown with the young women and had a great time! So we are hopeful that she will see that lds people have fun too! We also we met another guy, Curtis Hopkins, that we are going to be teaching more now. He is a friend of a member and we went and taught him the restoration. He came to church, so that was great, and we are going to try and set a baptismal date with him soon. He said he needs to know more first but he really likes our church so we think it is only a matter of time before he decides he wants to.

The other day we were riding the bus somewhere in downtown Cleveland and we were the only white people on the bus, haha, it was pretty funny and for a second it was a little scary cuz it was late but we got off and everything was all better! We did have quite a few appointments cancel; it seems like everyone is getting sick. Also the weather is not being fun; its been warm then cold then rainy and then will warm up and get cold again. Its like spring keeps wanting to come but winter won't let it! I don't know what we are going to do for Easter, probably just doing what we do all the time. I don't know if there will be anything special. For the most part everything with our apartment is good, I guess. We are going to talk to the mission pres on Friday and see if we can move and be more central to our area and have a nicer apartment! We actually had 2 people give us food yesterday and then we had some dinners so we are starting to get fed more! There was a lady in the relief society presidency that called us up and said we were on her mind all day and she just felt like she really needed to fix us up some food so she made us some and brought it over! That was so nice of her! On the way to the library today we had some Catholic lady stop us and try to bash and tell us stuff. Whenever we tried to talk she was like I'm sorry I got to go, and she was getting in her car and my companion said Catholics practice polygamy! haha! She turned around and came and talked to us more! It was pretty funny, but oh well there are a lot of crazy people here in Cleveland!

Yes, the church has a lot of things online! Have any of you started a mormon.org profile yet? As far as my clothes, my shoe is worn out so I'm going to try and glue it and see how that works. I think my other pair will last awhile but walking around in the winter really kills yours shoes! I'm down to a few shirts; when they get really bad I thow them out! Well I hope everyone is doing great! Things are good here in Cleveland, hopefully it gets warmer soon though! Love you and have a great week!
Love, Elder Price
