May 31st (3 weeks left)

Dear family,

Yes, it's Tuesday and the last day of May! Believe it or not there is actually some nice weather! Today is supposed to get up to the 90s! Yesterday was a nice warm day and we went over to Chris' house and we helped him with a bunch of yard work and putting in a garden. It was pretty fun! It's not really as hard as you might think. They did buy the baby plants that were already grown, but it still works! We had district meeting yesterday during the same time as our ward memorial day party, so we didn't get to make it, but we had a good time helping Chris with his yard!

We did meet with Rick a lot this week and he has been starting to read the Book of Mormon now and doing really good with his smoking. The other night we were asking about his cravings and he was like "what cravings?" He has been doing really good and we were talking about his baptism on the 25th of June and we told him to send us pictures and he was like "oh ya, you guys will be leaving.. well can we do it the week before?" So now its on the 18th of June so that we can be there for it! He is just doing really good! The Phillips are doing really well, except he lost his job so now he is out looking for one. Hopefully he can get a better one! He told us he isn't worried because he knows the Lord is looking out for him! Erving told the missionaries that he will come to church next week when he gets bus fare and they are going to give him a ride instead. Joyce said that she isn't really interested right now, which we think she just got talking to the wrong people.

We were able have some good lessons this week and the bishop gave us a referral to a part memeber family where the kids want to get baptised and the mom wants to come back to church and the dad isn't a member! So we are looking forward to that! It is starting to get really hot and humid here. The bugs are everywhere, especially mosquitoes. (it's funny, they don't bite us) Last night coming home it looked like the door to our apartment was moving there was so many of them. Every morning when we walk outside there are just swarms and swarms of them!

Well I hope everyone has a great week and is able to get lots done! I hope the trek goes great and that everyone reads their scriptures! Love ya lots!
