Dear family,
So this week has been super busy! Remember last week how I said we weren't doing anything with the tornados? Well...we are! Thursday, Friday and Saturday and Sunday we were helping with the relief efforts to help them clean up everything! It's really fun actually! On Thursday at 9 we went to Delta so we could help clean up and since us and Waueson are the closest areas, we will be going there probably every day this week too! So anyways, we have been helping out with lots of stuff! On Friday we had a mission conference with Elder Bradley Foster of the seventy come talk to us. He talked a lot about prayer and how God always answers and promises that He will no matter what. And that if we can truly understand who we are and our relationship with God it will help us so much! He took a lot of it from Moses Chap 1 and how we are children of God and He loves us and wants us to be happy and wants to talk to us and bless us and will do that we just have to ask! It's all about our agency if we don't ask, how is He supposed to let us use our agency? So when we ask He opens up the windows of heaven and pours blessings out to us! It was a really great conference; really spiritual! And then right after, we all got our cool mormon helping hands yellow t-shirts and drove to Delta to help with the clean up we had 3 whole zones go help it was really cool! On Friday night we all stayed in the church and then Saturday morning we were back at it again! Then Sunday morning they called us and said cancel dinner appointments and come out again leave church early! Its been crazy! I heard that there was like 60 some houses just in one of the areas that needed help! We even had a truck from Salt Lake come and deliver supplies! Its been really fun! Probably this week we will be going a lot more too! We even were blessed because they feed us lunch and dinner and so we don't need to buy any food. Then they sent the 4 of us in our distict home with 30 to-go boxes of food that wouldn't fit in the fridge so we now have lots of food! :) It's been really good especially to help out all those people and to be able to share in the service of helping others! This service is also a great way to find people. We have already talked to a bunch of people about the church because they are currious about all these people in yellow shirts who are great workers! Elder Sanchez and I have carried logs and trees that have been really big! haha. And I even got to spit some wood on my mission! If you look on ABC under Toledo you should be able to follow the story of the "mormons". Well we need to get back to Wauseon so we can get the other elders and head back on out!
