This week was pretty fun. We weren't able to go to Kirtland because the Welch's had some stuff they had to do so we had to reschedule for this Saturday! So hopefully this week we can go! So a little bit more about the VanVleets, Dana is the dad and he was baptized on his 18th birthday and then when he was about 23 all his friends were on missions and he joined the military instead and then fell less active. Somehow the Welch's met them through their home schooling program and starting working on them and now we are meeting with the whole family and they are all getting baptized: the kids and the mom except the 6 year old boy. It's on Nov. 7th. So that's really exciting! We stopped by last night to give them back their dishes because they brought us some food on Saturday night and they told us that they went to the John Johnson farm and had a tour! All by themselves, which I thought was really cool! They are just excited about this whole thing! (Me too!)
We are going to be meeting with Chatona this week probably around Thursday and see what is happening with her and her bf. We actually haven't had a chance to go see Victor yet. But we are working on it, we are trying to think of ways that we can try and teach him because he doesn't have a dvd player or the internet so that makes things a little harder on us (haha) but hopefully maybe we can get some talks or something in Romanian for him!
We did help this lady the other day. She called us and said she needed help packing up some boxes so she could move. So we said yes and then we went over to help her. It was pretty bad. That tv show Hoarders, ya it was kinda like that. There was stuff stacked up everywhere and there was a little pathway to the door and then to the back door but other than that there was only enough room for one person to walk down the path. It was piled up about 4 or 5 feet and it was just a bunch of junk! We spent 4 hours helping her and we threw out like 5 bags of just newspaper. She has already condemned 3 other houses of stuff and this one today might get condemned too! It was a memorable experience!
That's really cool about G&G Wright's mission call! I wish them the best of luck! I hope they don't have to report in a few weeks! There is a lot of stuff they need to do! But either way, the Lord qualifies who he calls, so everything will work out! Sounds like they will be having a fun mission! Haha, maybe grandpa will work on tanning his legs? Whoa, they have to learn a language too? Well that will be fun! Sounds like they have a whole lot of rain they are going to be getting!
Today we are going to Youngstown to have our zone p-day. So that should be pretty fun! and I added some pictures this week mostly sunsets and some of the trees but I hope you like them! Well I think that is about it for this week. We had a great lesson with George about the Plan of Salvation but he still doesn't want to come to church so we are working on that. Also, in gospel principle's class they told us that I'm really good at teaching children. I guess that is a plus when teaching a family with lots of little kids! That is about all that happened this week but next week we will be going to Kirtland so it should be pretty fun! :) Well love you guys and hope all is well! Keep up the good work! :)
