Dear family,
Hey this week was really good! We did get to go to Kirtland! Which was really good! :) We didn't go to the temple but we walked around and had a tour at historic Kirtland and our tour guides were Sister Carter and Sister Lyman. Sis Carter came out with me so it was cool to get a tour from her. It was a really fun time and the weather was really nice. It was slightly cloudy but not too cold and not too warm, so it was a great time. We are all on schedule to baptise them on the 6th but we might move it to the 7th because there is a lot things that night. It's so wonderful to be able to go over there and teach them and stuff! The other day they called us up and said they had something for us and so we went over and they gave us a huge box of food and said they wanted to help us out because they knew we didn't have a lot of money! They also gave us a case of water! It was so nice of them. Now we have full cupboards! This week we did meet with Chatona but she didn't come to church and her "mom" said that she just doesn't have her priorities straight right now. We are going to give her a little break and then go back and try to see if she has them straight yet. George is doing good. We had a really good spirit driven lesson with him when we were on exchanges. We are going to have to take some things slow with him because he still isn't ready for church yet. He wants to look into it more. So he is going to be a more slower teaching. We did find some new people to teach but we are going back this week and will see if they really are interested at all? We had some funny stories this week. So on exchanges we were tracting and this guy answers the door and isn't wearing a shirt, doesn't have very many teeth, has peace sign earings, a jade necklace and is making meatballs! (Haha) We tried to talk to him and he kept saying no man its cool ya man sorry man I'm making meatballs! haha it was funny! And then this other house we went to you could see a bunch of kids in the front room and we knocked and then you hear someone yell don't answer the door!! And all the kids run back from the door and a few mins later the husband comes and is like sorry guys we aren't interested! It was kinda funny! Then we were talking to this one lady and we are going back to meet with her. Then we left and her brother was on the sidewalk and we talked to him and he asks where our church is and he turns around and yells to his mom "mom I'm going back to church!" it made us laugh! and then Saturday morning while we were waiting for the Van Vleets so we could go to Kirtland, Chase comes around the conner and is like "mom, Conner called me a hypochondria. It made us all laugh!
It was our primary program on Sunday. All the kids did a good job and the Van Vleet's kids even were in it and did good on their parts too! Some cool scriptures that I have been using a lot this week in case you wanted to know is 3 Nephi 27:13-22 focusing on 16 and then Alma 5 has a lot too. There is 15 and then the last verse in the chapter! and Moroni 6:4-6 for church! So we had a really good week this week and we have the trunk or treat, chili cook off and the women's dessert competition this Wednesday so that's pretty exciting!
